The 2012 Spring issue of the Energy Bar Association's newsletter, EBA Update, is now available on-line.
In his last message as EBA President, Derek A. Dyson highlights EBA successes and brings well deserved recognition to Lorna Wilson, Executive Director for her tremendous service to the Energy Bar Association during her 25 years of leadership. Lorna will retire at the end of this month. During the EBA Annual Meeting, we hope you will take time to recognize Lorna, and welcome incoming Executive Director, Lisa Levine to the EBA.
EBA Update includes a re-cap of an enthusiastic interview with CFTC Commission Scott D. O’Malia. Commissioner O’Malia discusses how his Wall Street experience and energy background have helped him in his role as CFTC Commissioner. O’Malia also encourages EBA members to visit the CFTC, stating that “your input will help get these rules right”. Check out the full interview in EBA Update and video on the website.
Don’t miss event wrap-ups and photos from the Western Chapter’s Tenth Annual Meeting and the Midwest Chapter’s 15th Annual Meeting, both featured in this issue. We are sure you will see some familiar faces! Earlier this month, volunteers with the Charitable Foundation of EBA (CFEBA) spent a day with hammers, nails and power tools - during their community service day with DC Habitat for Humanity.
We look forward to seeing you this week in Washington DC for the 66th Annual Meeting on April 26th, and pre-meeting events on April 25th including the all-day seminar on An In-depth Look at Regional Transmission Organizations and Independent System Operators and the Foundation of the Energy Bar Law Journal Reception honoring the FERC ALJs.
A comprehensive calendar of all EBA and related organization activities is now available on-line.
